Eine Meldung in eigener Sache. Am Samstag, den 19.03.2016, wurde ich in den Vorstand der EUSJA gewählt. Hier die entsprechende Pressemitteilung:

Lehmann neuer Honorary Secretary von EUSJA

Der Vertreter des österreichischen Klubs der Bildungs- und WissenschaftsjournalistInnen wurde in den Vorstand des Dachverbands der europäischen WissenschaftsjournalistInnen gewählt.

Oliver Lehmann wurde am Samstag, 19.03.2016, als Honorary Secretary in den Vorstand des Dachverbands der europäischen WissenschaftsjournalistInnen gewählt. Im Rahmen der Jahrestagung der EUSJA in Strasbourg (FR) wurde der komplette Vorstand neu bestellt: Jens Degett (DK) fungiert als President, Marina Hužvárová (CZ) als Vice-President und Antonio Calvo Roy (ES) als Honorary Tresurer. Lehmann – seit 2012 Vorsitzender des österreichischen Klubs der Bildungs- und WissenschaftsjournalistInnen – nannte die Definition des Verhältnisses zwischen WissenschaftsjournalistInnen und –kommunikatorInnen sowie die transparente und korrekte Organisation der Beteiligung von EUSJA an EU-Projekten als zentrale Themen. Die Amtszeit des neu gewählten Vorstands beträgt zwei Jahre. Die European Union of Science Journalists’ Association wurde 1971 gegründet und vertritt 2500 WissenschaftsjournalistInnen in 20 Mitgliedsländern.

Lehmann elected EUSJA Honorary Secretary 

The delegate of the Austrian Association of Education and Science Journalists has been elected into to board of Europe’s umbrella organisation for science journalists.

On Saturday, 19 March 2013,  Oliver Lehmann was elected Honorary Secretary on the board of Europe’s umbrellla organisation for science journalists. In the course of  EUSJA’s  General Assembly 2016  in Strasbourg (FR) the complete board was newly elected: Jens Degett (DK) serves as  President, Marina Hužvárová (CZ) as Vice-President and Antonio Calvo Roy (ES) as Honorary Tresurer. Lehmann – since 2012 chair of the Austrian Association of Education and Science Journalists stated the definition of the relationship between science journalists and science communicators, and the transparent and correct organization of EUSJA’s participation in EU projects as top priorities. For more details see his election statement  (http://www.oliverlehmann.at/2016/02/honorary-secretary/) and his CV  (http://www.oliverlehmann.at/notizen/blurb-cv/). The term of the newly elected board will last two years. The  European Union of Science Journalists’ Association was foiunded in 1971 and represents 2500 science journalists in 20 member states.
