Challenging but exciting task to host: the conference “Demographic Change in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE)” at Vienna’s Museums Quartier on March 24. For details see the programme (150324_JPI_Conference) and look for #jpidemography on Facebook and Twitter.
Here is some background information: the Joint Programming Initiative (JPI) „More Years, Better Lives“ is a Member State-driven European research policy initiative to foster collaboration and coordination in R&D in Europe. The JPI MYBL seeks to enhance cooperation between European and national research programmes related to demographic change. The conference brings together researchers with a focus on demography-related topics to discuss questions of demographic change in CEE. Central and Eastern European countries and their specific research questions have so far been underrepresented in the JPI MYBL. Therefore this conference facilitates insights into the status quo of research on demographic change in CEE. Furthermore, this conference brings together not only researchers, but also various stakeholders and ministries.
